As soon as the warm weather arrives, take a stroll through the cloister garden and enjoy the peace and quiet. Pleasant and restful, it appears as a meditative place in the heart of the village.
In the days of the monks, the cloister, whose colonnaded galleries have now disappeared, served as a place of prayer, reflection and strolling.
It links the abbey's various rooms: the church, chapter house, boiler room and dormitory.
This space evokes the use of plants in monasteries: ornamental to decorate the church, medicinal to treat the sick, textile to make or dye fabrics, and also nourishing .
From April to October, events are scheduled in the cloister: exhibitions, concerts, shows...
