      Where has Josette, the Abbey's mascot, gone?

      After discovering the Abbey with a mediator, the group can help Huguette the mascot find her sister, who mysteriously disappeared from the Abbey a few days ago... This adapted tour is a fun way for youngsters to discover the different areas of Charroux Abbey. As they collect clues, children learn to find their way around the Abbey by identifying the different areas. This treasure hunt encourages teamwork and allows children to explore the different spaces and the history of the abbey with the help of the mediator leading the discovery. Fun visit - 1H00 to 1H30.

      Little architects: the column

      This workshop introduces students to an emblematic element of medieval architecture: the column. Using pre-cut elements representing the constituent parts of this support, and working on shapes and colors, with collage and coloring, pupils will be able to reassemble a column. From the base to the capital, via the shaft and the drums, children will be able to acquire new vocabulary and understand the essential role of this element, which they will see many times during the visit. Models of arches supported by columns will bring the session to a close, giving concrete form to the workings of this architectural ensemble. Workshop - 1H30.
